Let da Monkey Out Lyrics

Advisory - the following lyrics contain explicit language:
What you know about it?
What you know about it?
What you know about it?
What you know about it?
What you know about it?Yo, get it right from jump
Doc tapin' on debate for months
I got zits on your face that can't wait to bump
Boogie down to the point I barricade the Bronx
Papi spins the rhymes through your optilens, check it
It's five below, my brain is cold

Runny nose every time doc exchange a blow
My street team snipe the block up like Rob Lowe
Bodega liquor store, I'm dead in the window
P P P symbol got F.B.I. on lookout
Strip the dirty clothes, hit a one eighteen cookout
I wolf out, son you better buckle in
I write the madness, got ink foamin' at the pen
I tear a ligament when I spit it in the wind
I got so much game I can con Edison
Yeah chicken stand by for exposure
Shut your house down foreclosure in cold blood
Shut the power out in your house
Cut the phone put a sock in your mouth
Let da monkey outLet da monkeys out
Show them fools what it's all about
Holla out, hear me out
Say, ooo ooo ah ah ah
Say, ooo ooo ah ah ahLet da monkeys out
Show them fools what it's all about
Holla out, hear me out
Say, ooo ooo ah ah ah
Say, ooo ooo ah ah ahIs Redman in the house?
(One time)
Form a line, jack ya, then pawn the shine
Stay there, runnin' with more kids than daycare
One shot prove it ain't nothin' but weight here
When he lands flat I'm the minivan
With lil' Cease, runnin' cities like Geechie Dan
When Richie Cunningham was O.P. I was low key
Airing niggaz that was more square than my gold teeth
My appetite for destruction is to hustle
All the cottonmouth'll turnbuckle when I rustle
Mr. tough guy on the side, I fuck him up too
Slam him, when I bark I marked his BuchananYo, New York niggaz in the house?
Yo yo yo, is Jersey niggaz in the house?
Yo yo, I hold fort with a quart of old E from Newark
I tell lies under oath if it please the court supreme force
In the swamps with the green moss
Bug repellent suit, bustin' machines off
I'm deadly roamin' with the forty four blazin' in, no negotiator
Yo not even Chris Sabien can save your life
Doc'll creep in the house
Yo cut the phones, put a sock in your mouth
Let da monkey outLet da monkeys out
Show them fools what it's all about
Holla out, hear me out
Say, ooo ooo ah ah ah
Say, ooo ooo ah ah ahLet da monkeys out
Show them fools what it's all about
Holla out, hear me out
Say, ooo ooo ah ah ah
Say, ooo ooo ah ah ahLet da monkeys out
Show them fools what it's all about
Holla out
Say, ooo ooo ah ah ah
Say, ooo ooo ah ah ahLet da monkeys out
Show them fools what it's all about
Holla out
Say, ooo ooo ah ah ah
Say, ooo ooo ah ah ahYo, nineteen ninety motherfuckin' nine niggaz
Brick city comin' through
If you don't know this is Dr. Trevis
Ain't shit changed motherfucker
Pack your own heat
Supply your own motherfuckin' ammo nigga
P P P comin' through, this is Dr. Trevis
Bitch asses

Redman (born Reggie Noble on April 17, 1970 in Newark, New Jersey) made his rapping debut on the EPMD songs "Hardcore" and "Brothers on my Jock", after Erick Sermon of the seminal group spotted him freestyling in a New York club and added him to their crew of aspiring emcees (along with K-Solo among others). Redman's 1992 Def Jam debut Whut? Thee Album broke into the US Top 50, achieved gold status in the United States, and prominent hip-hop magazine The Source subsequently named Redman Rap Artist of the Year for 1993.

Redman's solo career continued throughout the remainder of the decade, with each of his albums selling at least half a million copies. His musical style has remained very consistent, rarely deviating from a combination of Redman's unique braggadocious wit and hard, p-funk-influenced beats. In addition to releasing albums under his own name, he is part of the group Def Squad (along with Keith Murray and Erick Sermon) with whom he released the 1998 album El Nino, and also has formed a close partnership with labelmate Method Man (of the Wu-Tang Clan) with whom he released the 1999 album Blackout!. The long-awaited follow-up, Blackout! 2, apeared in 2009.

He has also collaborated extensively, both with hip-hop artists and with artists from other genres; the long list of artists and groups he has worked with includes Wyclef Jean, Snoop Dogg, Scarface, The Offspring, Christina Aguilera, Eminem, Gorillaz, D'Angelo, Me'Shell Ndegeocello, 2Pac, Jodeci, Cypress Hill, De La Soul, Krs One and IAM.

In 2001 Redman co-starred with Method Man in the stoner comedy film How High, which featured the pair playing two marijuana-addled students attempting to survive at Harvard. Method Man and Redman also appear in the Def Jam Vendetta video game series, often as Tag Team partners, and briefly had their own television sitcom, Method & Red, on Fox during the 2004-2005 season.

Redman is also featured on the video game "True Crime: New York City", in which the central character interacts with an undercover street cop based upon the rap star, who also provides the voice for him.
