Let's All Make a Bomb (12" Version) Lyrics

And as the low aggress the high
All you can do is sit and cry
You've only got yourself to blameDon't try to stop me; it's too late
My mind's made up; this job won't wait
There's nothing left for me to sayHey! There's no need to debate
It's time to designate your fate
Take the M out of M.A.D.
Let's all make a bombTake one hundred scientists or more
Place in a room and lock the door
Let them confer for half their livesUnlock the door; go in and see
What they have made for you and me
A brand new toy to idolize(chorus)Although the war has just begun
Ignore the sirens; let's have fun
Put on your best; go out in styleAlthough our future's looking black
We'll go downtown and join the pack
Let's celebrate and vapourize

Heaven 17 is a British synthpop band originating in Sheffield, South Yorkshire, England, formed in 1980. Taking their name from a fictional pop group mentioned in Anthony Burgess's novel A Clockwork Orange (where 'The Heaven Seventeen' are at number 4 in the charts with 'Inside'), Heaven 17 formed when Ian Craig Marsh and Martyn Ware split from their earlier group The Human League and formed production company British Electric Foundation (B.E.F.). Shortly after, they recruited their good friend and photographer Glenn Gregory on vocals to complete their lineup for Heaven 17.
