Let's Be Fools Again Lyrics

There were days long ago
When your smile came across
With the wind in your hair
And the rain on your face and
Laugh we could
Come on let's laugh again. We were young, we were free
We were foolish and poor, couldn't care
We had time
We were careless for sure and
Cry we did
C'mon let's cry again.STRINGSThere was you, there was me
And a crowd would be three
But we could not prevail
Though we fought to agree and
Lose we did
C'mon let's lose again.Well I could sing, I could shout
I could scream the place down
But I won't lest I stumble

Make a fool of myself, I've
Done it before
Let's be fools againLet's be fools again
Let's be fools again
Let's be fools again.

Clifford Thomas Ward - Born 10 February 1944, Stourport-on-Severn, Worcestershire — 18 December 2001 Clifford T. Ward typified the early 70s bedsitter singer-songwriter with a series of albums that were at best delightful and at worst mawkish. Ward left grammar school before A-levels to work as a clerk, but by 1962 was fronting local beat group Cliff Ward and the Cruisers. The group changed their name to Martin Raynor and the Secrets and made their recording debut for EMI Records in 1965, before recording several more tracks as the Secrets for CBS Records.
