Let's Hit One More Place Lyrics

Let's hit one more place
before we go home
Let's go in when it's dark
come out with the sun
I know we'll be wrecked all day
we'll be broke undone
B-u-u-u-u-t
let's hit one more place
Remember when we'd disappear
We'd go on drunks for days
we'd never fight
Never too tired, or too loud,
or you weren't feeling right
All our old friends are done in
or just trying to stay clear
B-u-u-u-u-t
let's hit one more place
We'll hide in the back

until we're us again
Maybe there ain't nothing left
two strangers that used to be friends
Who couldn't keep their hands off each
other and nothing between them that was sad
Let's hit one more place
before we go home
Let's go in when it's dark
come out with the sun
I know we'll be wrecked all day
we'll be broke undone
B-u-u-u-u-t
let's hit one more place

Richmond Fontaine is a four-piece alt country band based in Portland, OR. The band was formed in 1994 by guitarist / lead vocalist Willy Vlautin and bass player Dave Harding at the Portland Meadows horse race track. Known for Vlautin's incredibly rich and evocative lyrics, several of Richmond Fontaine's songs relate to horse racing specifically and gambling generally. This is largely an artifact of Vlautin's upbringing in Reno, Nevada, a place that is heavily referenced in his lyrics, along with Portland, the U.
