Let's Lynch the Landlord Lyrics

The Landlord's here to visit
They're blasting disco down below
Says, "I'm doubling up the rent 'cause the building's condemned
You're gonna help me buy City Hall"But we can, you know we can
But we can, you know we can
Let's lynch the landlord manI tell them, "Turn on the water"
I tell 'em, "Turn on the heat"
Tells me, "All you ever do is complain"
Then they search the place when I'm not hereBut we can, you know we can
Let's lynch the landlord
Let's lynch the landlord
Let's lynch the landlord manThere's rats chewin' up the kitchen
Roaches up to my knees
Turn the oven on, it smells like Dachau, yeah
Till the rain pours through the ceilingBut we can, you know we can
Let's lynch the landlord man

L7

L7 was a grunge band. The band was formed in 1985 by Donita Sparks and Suzi Gardner, who were later joined by jennifer finch and Dee Plakas. They signed to Epitaph Records for their first album and to Sub Pop in 1989. The name is taken from a slang phrase from the 1950s which means "square," but is often mistaken for a reference to a sex position, also called "69". In 1991 the band formed Rock for Choice, a pro-choice women's rights group which was supported by other bands of that era, including Nirvana, Mudhoney, Pearl Jam, 7 Year Bitch.
