Let's Pretend Lyrics

In the stillness of the night
My eyes are closed
My mouth is wide
And I couldn't see her face
Her beautiful hair
And I couldn't recognizeShe looks at me cold
She probably don't know
Who I am, mommy it's me
It's Keith, you had me back whenBut sometimes I like to pretend
And that she
But sometimes I like to pretend
And that she
But sometimes I like to pretend
And that she
But sometimes I like to pretend
And that she holds meAnd I guess I can't
'Cause show doesn't know who I am
My mind, it's dreaming

God, it's so, it's so misleading, yeah
And do you think it's 'cause I've grown old?
And is it true what I was told, you cried to leave me?You know I know, it's not your fault
You had a husband, now who was selfish and cold
Believe me I know
Believe me I knowNow I hear you used to treat me cold
You disappeared and left me all alone
I'm sure you didn't know right from wrong
'Cause both of you were always gettingWere always getting
Were always getting stoned
Were always getting stoned
Were always getting stonedAlways, were always getting stoned
Were always getting stoned
Were always getting stoned
Were always getting stonedWere always getting stoned
Were always getting stoned
Were always getting stoned
Always, were always getting stoned
Were always getting stoned

Life of Agony is an alternative metal band from Brooklyn, NY who are known to incorporate hardcore and thrash elements into their music, however they have a wide range of influences, including reggae (Bob Marley) and alternative rock (Radiohead). They formed in 1989 after Keith Caputo was looking for musicians to form a rock band, he eventually recruited his cousin, Joey Z on guitar and long-time friend Alan Robert on bass. Type O Negative's drummer Sal Abruscato was hired to record albums 'River Runs Red' and 'Ugly' on drums. He re-joined the band when they reformed in 2003.
