Life On a String Lyrics

A summer night the hot the heat
Sit at my desk fluorescent light
Drawing a picture of a perfect momentI saw it once on a grand avenue
That stretched into the distance
And you and I were walking there
Lost in the momentLife on a string
Life on a stringSome people know exactly where they're going
The pilgrims to Mecca
The climbers to the mountaintop
But me, I'm just looking
For just a single moment
So I can slip through time
