Lift Me Up Lyrics

I've been running in circles
I shouldn't have been running in
Sliding down that hill into the depths of sin
I keep falling
Down here at the bottom
It's a lonely place to know
I sure need your help right now
I'm as low as I can go.Lift me and you'll see
I'll come around to what I should be
Touch my heart
Rid my soul
Of these demons that I can't control
Reach down your hand from above
Lift me up
I've been praying
Wondering if I'm getting through to you
Send your hands
I've done all I can do

That's the truth
Lord, I make this promise
Down here on my knees
I'll never get this way again
Just get me back up on my feet.chorusI don't know where I'm going
I can't change where I've been
So I need you to help me
To never go back againchorus
Reach down your hand from above
Give me strength 'cause I don'
t have enough
All I need is your sweet love
Lift me up
Lift me up

Alabama is a country music band from Fort Payne, Alabama that was started in 1969 but did not get a recording contract until 1977. Alabama began by singing for tips around Myrtle Beach before going on to sell millions of records. They were among the first successful country groups since the mid-1970s, thanks to their blend of contemporary and traditional country and southern rock. On July 4-93 they opened a $7-million, 2,200-seat theater, located in Barefoot Landing-Myrtle Beach South Carolina.

The members of Alabama are:

- Randy Owen (vocals and rhythm guitar)
- Teddy Gentry, (vocals and bass guitar)
- Jeff Cook (lead guitar, keyboards, bass guitar, fiddle, banjo, and mandolin)
- Mark Herndon (drums and percussion)

Along with the Oak Ridge Boys and the Statler Brothers, Alabama is recognized as having paved the way for today's top country groups, including Diamond Rio, Lonestar and Rascal Flatts.
