Like an Angel (C86 Version) Lyrics

Sometimes it's hard to remember
Other times I can't forget
You hope you've put it all behind you
But you know it isn't finished yet
Baby, baby, please
You've got me on my hands and knees
Baby, baby, baby, please
Won't you give me what you know I need
Saw her in the sky, she's just hanging round
Baby fly so high, won't you come on down
Like an angel
I found something undiscovered
I found it in your deep blue eyes
Something I could never recover
Cause it's buried too deep inside

Come on, give it to me now
I can't hold on anymore
You got to give it to me now
Before my skin begins to crawl
Saw her in the sky, she's just hanging round
Baby fly so high, won't you come on down
Like an angel
Like an angel
Like an angel
Like an angel
Come on, give it to me now
I can't hold on anymore
You got to give it to me now
Before my skin begins to crawl
Saw her in the sky, she's just hanging round
Baby fly so high, won't you come on down
Like an angel
Won't you tell me how you get so high?
Tell me how you get so high
Tell me how you get so high
Won't you tell me how you get so high?

The Mighty Lemon Drops was an English rock group active from 1985 to 1992. Originally called the Sherbert Monsters, the quartet first formed in the spring of 1985 in Wolverhampton, in the English Midlands Black Country. Group members Dave Newton and Tony Linehan were the principal songwriters for the group. Their sound can best be described as neo-psychedelia in the vein of Echo & the Bunnymen played with a ringing Rickenbacker as the lead instrument which allowed them to transcend, and not merely imitate, the work of their influences.
