Linda Lyrics

When I go to sleep I never count sheep
I count all the charms about Linda
And lately it seems in all of my dreams
I walk with my arms about LindaBut what good does it do me?
For Linda doesn't know I exist
Can't help feelin' gloomy
Think of all the lovin' I've missedWe pass on the street, my heart skips a beat
I say to myself, "Hello Linda"
If only she'd smile, I'd stop for a while
And then I would get to know LindaBut miracles still happen
And when my lucky star begins to shine
With one lucky break I'll make Linda mineI count all the charms about Linda
I walk with my arms about LindaBut what good does it do me?
For Linda doesn't know I exist
Can't help feelin' gloomy
Think of all the lovin' I've missedI say to myself, "Hello Linda"
And then I would get to know LindaBut miracles still happen
And when my lucky star begins to shine

With one lucky break I'll make Linda mine
I'll make Linda mine

Jerry Vale's beautiful high-tenor voice graced many of the most enchanting pop songs of the '50s and '60s, including a parade of Italian-American favorites like "Innamorata (Sweetheart)," "Volare," "Amore, Scusami," and his signature song, "Al Di La." Vale, born Genaro Louis Vitaliano in 1932, learned the Italian repertoire from an early age; his mother often sang around the house and trotted out the old songs at extended-family gatherings. While shining shoes at a local barber shop at the age of 11, young Vitaliano began singing popular songs for customers while he worked.
