Listenin' for You Lyrics

Hey baby, in the middle of the night
There's a little light that still shines through
So remember if you start to cryin'
I will be listenin' for you
I will be listenin' for youYou go out of your way, I go out of my way too
So you can count on me, I know I count on you
Girl, you know love don't always run away
Take the chance and just whisper my nameHey baby, in the middle of the night
There's a little light that still shines through
So remember if you start to cryin'
I will be listenin' for you
I will be listenin' for youThis old heart has been through every twist and turn
Don't you know by now this bridge don't have to burn?
Take the step and you ain't gonna be alone
Girl hold on to this heart of mine you ownHey baby, in the middle of the night
There's a little light that still shines through
So remember if you start to cryin'
I will be listenin' for you

I will be listenin' for youHey baby, in the middle of the night
There's a little light that still shines through
So remember if you start to cryin'
I will be listenin' for you
I will be listenin' for youHey baby, just remember
I will be listenin' for you
I will be listenin' for you

Sawyer Brown is a country music band formed in 1981 at a Pizza Hut restaurant in Apopka, Florida. Lead singer Mark Miller asked keyboardist Gregg "Hobie" Hubbard to play piano for a couple of songs he had written. The two left for Nashville, Tennessee, where they met up with Florida drummer Joe Smyth, Michigan bass player Jim Scholten and original lead guitarist Bobby Randall. They first called the band "Savanah", but renamed themselves "Sawyer Brown" after Sawyer Brown Road, the street where they rehearsed.
