Little Girl In Bloom Lyrics

Little girl in bloom
With happy heart you wipe aside
Any sadness, sorrow or gloom
Tomorrow you'll be a blushing bride
That loves her blushing groomLittle girl in bloom
You watch the men play cricket
From the window in your room
See the ball go from bat to wicket
Pass away the afternoonLittle girl in bloom
Carries a secret
The child she carries in her womb
She feels something sacred
She's gonna be a mammy soonWhen your daddy comes home
Don't tell him till alone
When your daddy comes back
Go tell him the facts
Just relax and see how he's gonna reactLittle girl in bloom
All the clouds will go driftin' by

So sing your lullabying tune
And every word is in your eyes
As you sit and softly croonLittle girl in bloom
Your love, it fills the air
With the scent of the sweetest, sweet perfume
You feel so good you just don't care
Oh little girl in bloomLittle girl in bloom
She carries a secret
The child she carries in her womb
She feels something sacred
Gonna be a mammy soonWhen your daddy comes home
Don't tell him till alone
When your daddy comes back
Go tell him the facts
Just relax and see how he's gonna react

Thin Lizzy are an Irish hard rock band who formed in Dublin, Ireland in 1969. The band were led throughout their recording career by bassist, songwriter and singer Phil Lynott, and are best known for their songs Whiskey in the Jar, Jailbreak and The Boys Are Back in Town, all major international hits still played regularly on hard rock and classic rock radio stations. After Lynott died, various incarnations of the band have emerged over the years culminating in a more stable line-up based around guitarists Scott Gorham and John Sykes. Sykes left the band in June 2009.
