Lock, Step & Gone Lyrics

The end isn't here, there's something wrong
But it's coming real soon, I lock, step, I'm gone
I said the feeling isn't fear, there's something wrong
It's just telling you to move, I lock, step, I'm goneThere's a fire on the corner and it's never gonna stop
Killer in the neighborhood, never got caught
I lock up my door, step out and I'm gone
Waiting for the buses but the buses won't comeAll the docks are quiet, there's something wrong
And there's no ships coming in, I lock, step, I'm gone
Where there once was a riot, there's something wrong
There's a whole lot of nothing, I lock, step, I'm goneStop sign broken and the meter's going down
Wild dogs are running themselves into the ground
Everything was clear for that moment in time
If I don't come back, well, throw me a lineOh, the end isn't here but it's coming real soon
The feeling isn't fear it's just telling you to move, go
Come, stop
GoStop sign broken and the meter's going down
Wild dogs are running themselves into the ground
Everything was clear for that moment in time

If I don't go back, well, throw me a lineAll the docks are quiet, there's something wrong
And there's no ships coming in, I lock, step, I'm gone
Where there once was a riot, there's something wrong
There's a whole lot of nothing, I lock, step, I'm goneThere's a whole lot of nothing, there's something wrong
There's a whole lot of nothing, I lock, step, I'm gone
There's a whole lot of nothing, there's something wrong
There's a whole lot of nothing, I lock, step, I'm gone

Rancid is a punk rock band which formed in Berkeley, California, United States in 1991. The band consists of Tim "Lint" Armstrong (vocals, guitar), Lars Frederiksen (guitar), Matt Freeman (bass) and Brendan Stieneckert (drums). The band has released seven albums: "Rancid" (1993), "Let's Go" (1994), "...And Out Come the Wolves" (1995), "Life Won't Wait" (1998), "Rancid" (2000), "Indestructible" (2003) and "Let the Dominoes Fall" (2009). The band originally consisted of Armstrong, Freeman (both former members of Operation Ivy) and drummer Brett Reed, with Frederiksen joining in 1993. Reed left in 2006 and was replaced by Stieneckert.

To date, Rancid has released seven studio albums, one split album, one compilation, two extended plays, and a series of live online-only albums, and has been featured on a number of compilation albums. The band has independently sold over four million records worldwide,[4] making it one of the most successful independent punk groups of all time. The band rose to fame in 1994 with its second studio album, Let's Go, featuring the single "Salvation". In the following year, Rancid released its highly successful album ...And Out Come the Wolves, which produced its best-known songs "Roots Radicals", "Ruby Soho" and "Time Bomb", and was certified gold and platinum by the RIAA, selling over one million copies in the United States alone. Its next four albums, Life Won't Wait, Rancid, Indestructible and Let the Dominoes Fall, were also critically acclaimed, though not as successful as ...And Out Come the Wolves. Rancid is currently working on an eighth studio album, which is said to be recorded in September 2011, and expected to be released in 2012.
