Lonely Lyrics

You don't know what i been thru
Its been rough I'm telling you
All night long toss and turn
Nobodies bridges left to burnI tell you a story about a lonely girl
Had no one to love her
In the whole wide world
You know she was lonely, lonelyDidn't want to feel this good
Didn't know I ever could
You spoke, your voice so sweet
Child your sound surrounded meI'll tell you my story about a lonely girl
Had no one to love me
In the whole wide world
You know I was lonely, lonely....yeahUnlock my chains, child and set me free
I'm a different woman, look at what you done to me
Don't know what you did babe, but it feels so right
Don't know how you did it, but do it again tonight
I'm walking on over, I'm coming on in
I'm depending on you, so won't you be my friend

Be my...Didn't want to feel this good
Didn't realize that I ever could
You came here, you came to stay
I'm so glad cause babe you made me day
Yeah, yes you did

Anita Baker (born January 26, 1958, in Toledo, Ohio) is a soul and adult contemporary Rhythm and blues singer. With her classy, refined brand of romantic soul, Anita Baker was one of the definitive quiet storm singers of the '80s. Gifted with a strong, supple alto, Baker was influenced not only by R&B, but jazz, gospel, and traditional pop, which gave her music a distinctly adult sophistication. Smooth and mellow, but hardly lifeless, it made her one of the most popular romantic singers of her time.
