Lonely Avenue Lyrics

Now my room has got two windows
But the sunshine never comes through
You know its always dark and dreary
Since I broke off, baby, with youI live on Lonely Avenue
My little girl wouldnt say I do
So Ill try, Ill try, Ill try
Yes, Ill cry, Ill cry, Ill cry
Someone hear me, LordNow my covers, they feel like lead
And my pillow, it feels like stone
Well, Ive tossed and turned so every night
Im not used to being aloneI live on Lonely Avenue
My little girl wouldnt say I do
And Ill cry, Ill cry, Ill cry
Yes, Ill try, Ill try, Ill trySomeone hear me, Lord
Someone hear
Someone hear me, Lord
Someone hearStand in love, dont fall in loveNow my room has got two windows
But the sunshine never comes through

You know its always dark and dreary
Since I broke off, baby, with youI live on Lonely Avenue
My little girl wouldnt say I do
So Ill cry, Ill cry, Ill cry
Yes, Ill try, Ill try, Ill try
Someone hear me, LordI said Ill try, Ill try, Ill try
And Ill cry, Ill cry, Ill cry
Someone hear me, Lord
Someone hearIf someone gone ill
As I would say it again
Stand in love, dont fall in love
