Lonely Desolation Lyrics

Lonely Desolation
(Prophet)She was running
With a shotgun
I could hear the sirens
But I couldn't move
I couldn't even catch my breathShe was hiding
In the patterns
Of her mothers apron
When I left that girl
She was just a little thingBut the summer is gone
And the leaves are turning over
It's another day gone
I'm another year older
Desolation
Lonesome lonely desolationI was seeking understanding
They took a 14 -year-old boy
Yeah they locked him up
They tried to turn him into a manShe told me what I need is absolution

I said absolution girl
Come on now
That's gonna be hard to arrangeBut the summer is gone
And the leaves are turning over
It's another day gone
I'm another year older
Desolation
Lonesome lonely desolationBut the summer is gone
And the leaves are turning over
It's another day gone
I'm another year older
And the tooth won't come out
And you can't find a doctor
Desolation
Lonesome lonely desolation
