Lonely Street Lyrics

I'm lookin' for that 'Lonely Street'
I've got a sad sad tale to tell
I need a place to go and weep
Where's this place called 'Lonely Street'?A place where there's just loneliness
Where dim lights bring forgetfulness
Where broken dreams and memories meet
Where's this place called 'Lonely Street'?Perhaps upon that lonely street there's someone such as I
Who came to bury broken dreams and watch an old love dieIf I could find that 'Lonely Street'
Where dim lights bring forgetfulness
Where broken dreams and memories meet
Where's this place called 'Lonely Street'?
Where's this place called 'Lonely Street'?

Tammy Wynette (May 5, 1942 – April 6, 1998) was an American country singer and songwriter. She was known as the "First Lady of Country Music" and one of her best-known songs was "Stand by Your Man," which was one of the biggest selling hit singles by a woman in the history of the music genre. Tammy Wynette was born Virginia Wynette Pugh near Tremont, Mississippi, the only child of William Hollis Pugh (died February 13, 1943) and Mildred Faye Russell (1922–1991).
