Long Way from Home Lyrics

I'm just waiting for the sun to shine
Shine over me just enough to see
I'm just waiting for the spark to start the fire
And burn enough of me, enough to set me freeOn and on and on and on
I keep having the same dream
Everybody, everybody, everybody
they keep trying to break meI've been gone for so many years
I don't know how I got here
I know where I wanna be
But I'm a long way from homeI was strong but I got weak
I've got so much behind me
I don't know where I am
But I'm a long way from homeI'm not waiting for someone to comfort me
You can't hurt if you can't feel
And I've been numb since I got here
I'm just waiting for a star to guide the way
Another night that I won't sleep
I'm on another dead end streetOn and on and on and on

I watch the wheels as they keep spinning
Falling falling falling falling
But there's no way I'm goin inI've been gone for so many years
I don't know how I got here
I know where I wanna be
And I'm a long way from homeI was strong but I got weak
from the devil inside me
I don't know where I am
But I'm a long way from homeI guess I gotta keep searching
I can't see in the dark
I got the devil in me and I'm a long way from home
I don't wanna keep searching
I can't see when I'm stuck in the dark
I'm a puppet on strings
and I'm a long way from homeI'm just waiting for the sun to shine
Shine over me just enough to see
I'm just waiting for the spark to light the fire
Shine a light for me I wanna get back home
