Looking Through The Eyes Of A Child Lyrics

What you know is what you are.
Hollywood is Shangri-La
Will you ever make your mind up there?
I see thunder all through the sky,
Heaven burning in your eyes.
In my dream I know that you still care.
Won't somebody show me the way?
Show me the way
To your heart?
Send me a wise man
Or book about love.
My breath has been taken.
I've been shaken.
You keep me waiting at the edge of the world!

On a rocky shore line,
Like the whim of the wild,
Oh what can I do now?
I want you now!
You've got me lookin' through the eyes of a child!
I don't know what to say or do.
All I know is I need you,
Like the desert needs the rain in May.
Won't somebody show me the way?
Please, show me the way
To your heart?
Send me a wise man
Or book about love.
My breath has been taken.
I've been shaken.
You keep me waiting at the edge of the world
On a rocky shore line,
Like the whim of the wild,
Oh what can I do now?
I want you now!
You've got me lookin' through the eyes of a child!
Won't somebody show me the way?
Please, show me the way…
To your heart?
Send me a wise man
Or book about love.
My breath has been taken.
I've been shaken.
You keep me waiting at the edge of the world
On a rocky shore line,
Like the whim of the wild,
Oh what can I do now?
I want you now!
You've got me lookin' through the eyes of a child!

Eddie Money (born Edward Joseph Mahoney, March 2, 1949 in New York City, United States) is an American rock singer-songwriter who found success in the 1970s and 1980s with a string of Top 40 hits and platinum albums. Rock impresario Bill Graham said of Money "Eddie Money has it all...Not only can he sing, write and play, but he is a natural performer." After becoming a police officer, like his father, during the late 1960s, Money began to be interested in music, and eventually ended his law enforcement career in favor of becoming a musician.
