Lost Cause Lyrics

Even if we say we do, it don't mean that we will
It don't mean that we're going to
Even if we say we'll try
It don't mean that we'll have the opportunityAll this time weighed out unrefined
Twisted and unkind, all mine
All this pain, suddenly arranged
A relationship that I've deniedMy backs against the wall
I stumble and fall down, sometimes I scream
Oh, I'm scratchin' at my head, I'd rather be dead
Than not in your arms, in your arms, in your armsEven if we say we do it don't mean that we will
It don't mean that we're going to
Even if we say we'll try
It don't mean that we'll have the opportunityMy backs against the wall
I stumble and fall down, sometimes I scream
Oh, I'm scratchin' at my head, I'd rather be dead
Than not in your arms, in your arms, in your armsMy backs against the wall
I stumble and fall down, sometimes I screamMy backs against the wall
I stumble and fall down, sometimes I scream

Oh, I'm scratchin' at my head, I'd rather be dead
Than not in your arms, in your arms, in your armsMy backs against the wall
I stumble and fall down, sometimes I scream

Oleander is a post-grunge band from Sacramento, California. Its name is derived from the poisonous wildflower oleander. Oleander was formed by Fred Nelson Jr. (drums), Doug Eldridge (bass guitar), Ric Ivanisevich (guitar) and Thomas Flowers (vocals, guitar) in the mid-90s. Their debut was Oleander, an EP released on Fine Records in 1996, which they followed with the full-length album Shrinking the Blob in 1997. The song "Down When I'm Loaded" became a regional hit, and Oleander signed with Universal Records.
