Love Lyrics

Looks like the song of faith
Could not bring you down
He had to try other places
But I'm sure you'll figure it outWind it goes in from the cold
Call me to the south
Two years we couldn't last
And it explains itselfEverybody loves
Yet that's love that brings you down
Drink him up and hold him up for me
He loved me but it's over nowI was looking at the motion magazine
I was dreamning we were lying down
In the dream we were close to 17
Never stronger (?), never down
The next thing you will find to love you
That is to steal the words right out of my mouth
You feed me fast like a stag in the(?)
Even though I'm not aroundIt's time you call on me
I swear I'll figure it out

I spend (?)speaking all slow
My mind in deep red cloudEach day I come round the station
See you're not around
In the station men (?)
Or don't you know by now?Every body loves
Yet I'm still around somehow
Yeah, you're going places
Oh, baby got the same old sounds
Sweet talking, low doping daddy
From a hight delivers down
I see you getting old on the road now
But the old is head of crowdAnd now that you're not here
He relies on his lonesome sound
And I know dear you can hear instantly
Even though he's not aroundSing, you, sing, oh you for me
Let keep it
Oh, keep it
Go on, go on

Amen Dunes, the solo project of Damon McMahon, began with recordings made in the fall of 2006 in upstate New York. Those tapes were initially put on the shelf as personal recordings he never intended for release, and the following summer, McMahon moved to China and all but stopped making music. He would live in Beijing for the next few years, writing and recording only occasionally. With the release of DIA on Locust Music in 2009, however, he decided to move back to the States and form a band around Amen Dunes.
