Love Hitchhiker Lyrics

When the hammer comes down
You're gonna hear the sound
A poor man sinner gonna turn this thing around
The valley's singing and I don't really care
I ain't no twenty-one and this ain't no truth or dare
And I wanna be
What you wanna see
At least until the sun comes up
And I wanna feel
That this love is real
Until we say goodbye
((Chorus))
'Cause she's a high heel walker
And I'm a real smooth talker
And I ain't gonna take a maybe
'Cause I'm a love hitchhiker

And I think I really like her
But I ain't gonna call her baby, baby
I ain't gonna call her back
When you wanna make a stand
You gotta be a man
This world is full of promises
You need to understand
Her train left the station and I really don't care
You ain't no Ginger Rogers
And I ain't no Fred Astaire
And I wanna be
What you wanna see
At least until the sun comes up
And I wanna feel
That this love is real
Don't wanna say goodbye
'Cause she's a high heel walker
And I'm a real smooth talker
And I ain't gonna take a maybe
'Cause I'm a love hitchhiker
And I think I really like her
But I ain't gonna call her baby, baby
Ooh, I think I'm gonna call her back
Hey, this ain't no revolution
No, I'm only looking for a solution
Said I got a front admission
Of desperation
And I wanna be
What you wanna see
Don't wanna say goodbye
Goodbye
'Cause I'm a love hitchhiker
And I think I really like her
But I ain't gonna call her baby
'Cause she's a high heel walker
And I'm a real smooth talker
And I am gonna take a maybe
I was a love hitchhiker
But I think I really like her
And I am gonna call her baby, baby
Oh, I wanna be what you see, yeah
'Til the sun comes
And I am gonna call her baby
Baby, baby
I think I'm gonna call her

Aranda is a band from Oklahoma City signed to Wind-up Records. The duo of brothers Dameon (vocals/guitar) and Gabe Aranda (vocals/keyboard) has worked with some of the industry’s finest talent including the Grammy-nominated production team of Sam Watters and Louis Biancaniello on their first self-titled national release.

2009 saw Aranda’s single, “Still in the Dark,” break into the top 30 on the Active Rock chart.

That same year, American Idol winner Kelly Clarkson hand-picked two Aranda songs to cover on her album, All I Ever Wanted — including the high-energy in-your-face song of rebellion, “Whyyawannabringmedown” and, “All I Ever Wanted,” which became the title track for Clarkson’s album. Also, in 2009, Aranda’s “Whyyawannabringmedown” was selected by the WWE as the theme song for the pay-per-view event, The Bash.

Clarkson’s covers reinforced to the band that their music has an audience if given the proper chance. Aranda released a deluxe edition of their 2008 self-titled debut album, which included live tracks and a radio mix of “Whyyawannabringmedown,” along with a DVD of their wall-shaking album release show, Aranda: Live From OKC.

Dameon and Gabe have shared the stage with many of the biggest names in rock performing with hit bands such as Papa Roach, Saving Abel, Stone Temple Pilots, Shinedown, Staind, Sick Puppies, The All American Rejects, Rev Theory, Saliva, Puddle of Mudd, Theory of a Deadman, Halestorm and Black Stone Cherry. With the brothers’ airtight harmonies and passionate onstage performances, Aranda’s live show is unforgettable.

“We want to create high energy, keep rocking, keep everybody entertained. We want to involve the audience and make it fun for them,” Dameon says. “Our hope is that you’ll keep coming back for more.”

Aranda joined Saving Abel in the summer of 2012, on a nationwide tour with special guest Redlight King. The tour included stops in major markets throughout the U.S. In August 2012, Aranda supported Theory of a Deadman on several tour dates, including stops at The Knitting Factory in Boise, ID, Spokane, WA and Reno, NV. Currently they are on the road with Daughtry and 3 Doors Down.

Wind-up Records released Aranda's second studio album, Stop the World, on October 16th, 2012, which was Produced by Grammy-nominated Producer, Johnny K., (Disturbed, Sevendust, Staind, Drowning Pool). Stop the Worldhas already yielded three national radio hits — “Undone," peaking at #26 on the Active Rock chart and “Satisfied,” which peaked at #14 on the Active Rock chart. The latest single “One More Lie” is currently climbing the Active Rock charts.
