Love In Return Lyrics

You are the one I always wanted
The one I always needed
To share my life with you
(Only you)I'll spend a lifetime right by your side
'Cause you're the one I dreamed about
The one I always dreamed about
(The one you always dreamed about)She said, the only thing I'm asking
(Is for you)
To love me the same way that I love you
The only thing I'm asking
(Is for you)
To love me in returnTo be the one you always wanted
The one you always needed
To prove my love for you
(To cherish you)To spend a lifetime right by your side
To be the one you dream about
(The one you always dreamed about)
The one you always dreamed about

(The one you always dreamed about)An' she said, the only thing I'm asking
(Is for you)
To love me the same way that I love you
The only thing I'm asking
(Is for you)
To love me in returnPeople change but a promise stays the same
People change but a promise stays the same
(I'll be the one, I'll be the one you dreamed about)
People change but a promise stays the same
People change but a promise stays the same
(I'll be the one, I'll be the one you dreamed about)(All I wanted, all I needed)
People change but a promise stays the same
People change but a promise stays the same
(All I wanted, all I needed)
People change but a promise stays the same
People change but a promise stays the sameThe only thing I'm asking
(Is for you)
To love me the same way that I love you
The only thing I'm asking
Is for you to love me in return

It won't take long for listeners of Spoken's sixth studio album to be reminded of how hard and fast the band can rock. The three songs that open the album, "History Erased," "Close Your Eyes" and "Not Soon Forgotten," start things off with nine minutes of blazing fast guitar riffs and loud and quick-rising vocals, all bounded by a full-sounding rhythm section. After two albums for Tooth and Nail where the band explored more anthemic avenues, the quintet found itself re-examining its hard rock and metal roots on its third record for the label.
