Love Is All I Had Lyrics

There were no chains
To bind our hearts together
Love was all I had
Love was all I gaveThere were no mountains
To keep us far apart
Love was all I had
Love was all I gaveOh, what a feeling
I've had since you're gone
My lonely days are long
And my nights are blueAlways respect, my dear
It's new to you
Love was all I had
Love was all I gaveSo the people say
That our love must have been true
Love was all I had
Love was all I gaveOh, what a feeling
I've had since you're gone
My lonely days are long

And my nights are blueAlways respect, my dear
It's new to you
Love was all I had
Love was all I gaveSo the people say
That our love must have been true
Love was all I had
Love was all I gaveOh, what a feeling
I've had since you're gone
My lonely days are long
And my nights are blueLove was all I had
Love was all I gave
Love was all I had

Dillon was born in 1948 in Linstead, St. Catherine, Jamaica.[1] Influenced by American singers Connie Francis, Patti Page and Dionne Warwick, she began singing in talent contests. It was during a performance at the Glass Bucket Club in Kingston, Jamaica with the group The Vulcans, that Duke Reid's session guitarist Lynn Taitt discovered Dillon.[1]
