Love Is Stronger Than Pride Lyrics

I won't pretend that I intend to stop living
I won't pretend I'm good at forgiving
But I can't hate you
Though I have tried
Aaa, aaa, aaa, aaa, aaaI still really, really love you
Love is stronger than pride
I still really, really love you
Mmm, mmm, mmm, mmm, mmmI won't pretend that I intend to stop living
I won't pretend I'm good at forgiving
But I can't hate you
Although I have tried
Mmm, mmm, mmm, aaa, aaaI still really, really love you
Love is stronger than pride
I still really, really love you
Mmm, mmm, mmm, mmm, mmmSitting here wasting my time
Be like, waiting for the sun to rise
It's all too clear
Things come and goSitting here waiting for you

Would be like waiting for winter
It's gonna be cold
There may even be snowI still really, really love you
Love is stronger than pride
I still really, really love you
Love is stronger
I still really love you
Love is stronger than pride
Yeah, yeah, yea

Herbert Jeffrey Hancock (born April 12, 1940) is a jazz pianist and composer from Chicago, Illinois, United States. Hancock is one of jazz music's most important and influential pianists and composers. He embraced elements of rock, funk, and soul while adopting freer stylistic elements from jazz. As part of Miles Davis' "second great quintet" Hancock helped redefine the role of a jazz rhythm section, and was later one of the first jazz musicians to embrace synthesizers and jazz funk.
