Love Language Lyrics

Yo, we're going to have the word love
In many different languages
Translated all through the track
So, whenever you hear the word love
Know that, it's going to be in a different language
The language of love cannot be translated, yoLove is blind, you just see bright light
You up in the club feeling' the night life
Looking' for the right typeBlood rushing to your heart making it beat
When she swept you off your feet and made it complete
You know the plan you had to conquer the world
Thinking you Scarface, looking for that perfect girlAnd now you found her
Started with romantic, then got to frantic
Then things that's normally small become gigantic
Now y'all sinking like the Titanic, here come the panicWhen I'm with you like a habit, without you I can't stand it
It's tragic when you wonder when you lost that magic
Without understanding that you never had it try to grab itIn the bed can't get a nut off, communication cut off
Getting mad, 'cause you turned or wondering where she shut off
Constantly comparing you to someone in my past

We don't smile anymore, and we argue over cashAdvance to that physical shit
See what happens if you keep talking
See what happens if you lay a finger on me motherfucker
Yo, see what I'm saying'It's like one big mind game that everybody playing' and
Niggas say bitches is trife, bitches say niggas is
We just don't understand our fundamental differences
I'm still learning though, actually
I just do what come naturally naturally, naturallyL'amour n'a pas de, frontiere
Restes car je t'aime comme tu es
J'ai traverse l'ocean du verbe
Et je t'ai trouveWomen thrive on emotions, men refuse to acknowledge
So when we arguing' nobody win
Words get in the way time and again
Sticks and stones break your bones words break your heart
Whether you in touch with that part or not say wordWords are weapons for the revolutionary
Used for evil make the situation very scary
Word up, but love is brave, it flies in the face of fear
Yo, wherever you want to go love'll take you thereLet's go, you know a flower that grow in the ghetto
Know more about survival than the one from fresh meadows
It got love for the sun, that's where I'm coming from
Spit and it's smashing, 'cause the love rocking' over drumsWord, I put my love into my music
If you with me then you love how I do it
If my heart you're living' in your ocean I'm swimming' in
Never drowning got me floating' watching you in slow motionLove potion overdosing' approaching'
The explosion of my senses
Everyday without your heart
Is like a sentence in jailTrust I'll always be mentally free
You got the key to let it out I'll show you how it could be
Love, it ain't nothing' but a word
A chicken ain't nothing' but a bird, yo, yo, yoL'amour n'a pas de, frontiere
Restes car je t'aime comme tu es
J'ai traverse l'ocean du verbe
Et je t'ai trouveSome of you love that material bug
Love enter my life like a miracle
And it reciprocal that's why I'm feeling you love
We exhibit our natural behaviorLike making love under the moon in Jamaica
Get you so hot you call the name of the creata
The morning we hop back into action again
Up on a wall love how the sun liking your skinRemember when we explored the beach
Swam in the ocean and saw beneath
How the colors of the coral reef
Looked like the idlest floral pieceThat's what your beauty remind me of
It's hard to find a love like ours, taking it high above
Them other duns try to spit game but, I don't sweat it though
Know in my heart that we connected so I let it goNow if they call you out your name and that's a different thing
Anything but Queen I'll go to war like a King
Your friends sweat you, 'cause you ain't got a band
But they don't understand
Some things is meant to stay between a woman and manAnd they hate Griffy too so they try to get into it
Both you and me see through it so the way we flow is fluid
We speak the love language, they speak from pain and anguish
Some don't love themselves so they perception is taintedOut the joint like 'shit he paying for you and missing the point
When you rubbed me into your skin just like an ointment
Is more than pillow talk, it can't be translated
But how to speak it, and become emancipated, it's a language
Universal loveL'amour n'a pas de, frontiere
Restes car je t'aime comme tu es
J'ai traverse l'ocean du verbe
Et je t'ai trouveOh, love, love love love love, love, love
Love love love love, love, love
Love love love love, love, love
Love love love love, love, love
...

Talib Kweli Greene (born October 3, 1975 in Brooklyn, New York) is an American MC known as one of the most prominent rappers in underground hip-hop, and is critically acclaimed frequently, despite not being commercially successful. Kweli first gained recognition through Black Star, a collaboration with fellow MC Mos Def. He released his solo debut album Quality in 2002 and has since released 2004's The Beautiful Struggle, 2005's mixtape album Right About Now, 2007's Eardrum and 2011's Gutter Rainbows. He has also released two albums with Hi-Tek under the name Reflection Eternal and a collaboration album with Madlib in 2007 plus two albums with Res under the name Idle Warship.

His name is Arabic, meaning 'the seeker' or 'student of truth and knowledge'. His parents were both college professors: his mother an English professor, his father a sociology professor. As a youth, he was drawn to Afrocentric rappers, such as De La Soul and other members of the Native Tongues Posse and in 1995 began recording with producer Hi-Tek and rapper Mos Def who he met at central park, and later attended New York University with. With Mos Def (together the pair were known as Black Star), Kweli achieved some mainstream success with Mos Def & Talib Kweli Are Black Star (1998). Also noted are Kweli and Mos' central input on Rawkus Records' compilation album Soundbombing (1997). Soundbombing also include collaborations between Kweli and DJ Hi Tek as Reflection Eternal. Together they released Train of Thought in 2000, which sold better than most alternative hip hop albums at the time. He has since released a critically acclaimed solo debut, Quality in 2002. In 2004, he released his second solo album, The Beautiful Struggle. His third solo album Ear Drum was released on August 21st, 2007.

Kweli has created his own record label, Blacksmith Records and has recently signed acclaimed female rapper Jean Grae, with rumors continuing to grow that underground veteran MF DOOM is the next artist to be picked up. He left Geffen Records and has signed with the Warner Music Group.

He has since broken through slightly more towards the mainstream, thanks in large part to several appearance on the comedy show Chappelle's Show, both solo and with long-time collaborator Mos Def, this is due to a friendship between the host and creator of the show, comedian Dave Chappelle and the rapper. He also had a guest spot on friend and frequent collaborator Kanye West's widely successful debut album The College Dropout on the track "Get 'Em High". West has also produced some of Kweli's songs, including his biggest commercial hit "Get By". Kweli can also be seen in a commercial for the NCAA's Big Ten Conference, rapping about the league's basketball teams. Talib Kweli provided the voice for the main character, Trane, in the video game Marc Ecko's Getting Up, released in 2006.
