Love Locked Inside Lyrics

Write your name in sand and snow
Watch it blow away
Write your name in blood and rain
And see it leave a stain upon my soulWe've got Father Time, we've got Mother Earth
Somehow love is all we crave
Painted you with the colors of the night
Then I watched you fade awayLove's locked inside of my heart
Love's locked inside
Safe and forever waiting
And there it shall remainThaw the ice in these brittle veins
And melt this arctic soul
I pray alone to a child like God
Let me see your face 'fore I'm oldMy heart is hard and heavy
With the burden of un-given love
Think I loved you deeper that the ocean blue
When I saw the stars at night
I thanked them all for youLove's locked inside of my heart
Love's locked inside

Safe and forever waiting
And there it shall remainWrite your name in sand and snow
Write your name in blood and rain
Thaw the ice in these brittle veins
Melt this arctic soulLove's locked inside
Silent wish for what I thought will be divine
Safe and forever, safe and foreverSo this is the fate that time has chosen to be mine
A hope that's not to be fulfilled
Silent wish for what I thought divineI will keep it here for you deep down inside myself
I'd rather keep it here for the ages to behold
Than give it away to someone elseLove's locked inside of my heart
Love's locked inside
(Silent wish for what I thought will be divine)
Safe and forever waiting
And there it shall remainLove's locked inside of my heart
Love's locked inside of my heart
Love's locked inside of my heart
(Safe and forever)
Love's locked inside

Voice of the Beehive are an Anglo-American college radio/alternative pop band, formed in London in 1987 by Californian sisters Tracey Bryn Belland and Melissa Brooke Belland, daughters of Bruce Belland of The Four Preps. When the sisters first sang together they called themselves the Beehive Girls, because of their beehive hairstyles. Their initial success came with the 1988 album Let It Bee, on which they recruited former members from ska band Madness to play guitar and drums.
