Love Me With a Feeling Lyrics

All right, she's gonna sing
All right, we all turn to page 438
Now, you know we all gonna sing along
Oh, I do love a reviewYou know, women don't like this woman
'Cause I always speak my mind
But the men ain't crazy about me
'Cause I love to take my timeIf you're gonna love this woman
Gotta love me with a thrill
'Cause, baby, if you don't
I gotta find a man who willLove me with a feeling
(Love me with a feeling)
You got to love me with a feelin'
(Love me with a feeling)
You got to love me with a feelin'
Or you don't love me at allYou know, I'm the kind of woman
I don't want no halfway stuff
If you're gonna turn me loose, baby
Be sure I had enoughYou know, the cops once took me in

But I did not need the bail
I just shook it for the judge and he
He put that cop in jailYou got to love me with a feelin'
(Love me with a feeling)
You got to love me with a feelin'
(Love me with a feeling)
You got to love me with a feelin'
Or you don't love me at allAll right, Milledge, this one's for youThere was one cat who could not make it
And Milledge was his name
The only cat I ever knew
Who left before he cameThere he's a-standing
Drinkin' pop from a paper cup
But when it's time for gettin' down
Milledge can not get it upYou gotta love me with a feelin'
(Love me with a feeling)
Yeah, love me, love me with a feelin'
(Love me with a feeling)
You got to love me with a feelin'
Or you can't love me at allNo, no, wait, no, wait a minute
I can't just walk out on my old friends, now can I?

Bette Midler (December 1, 1945) is an American singer, actress, and comedian, also known to her fans and especially in gay culture, as The Divine Miss M. She was born in Honolulu, Hawaii, to Jewish parents from New Jersey, and raised there. Midler relocated to New York City to pursue acting on stage, and in 1970 she began singing at the Continental Baths, a gay bathhouse in the city, where she became close to her piano accompanist, Barry Manilow, who produced her first major album, The Divine Miss M in 1973. She is named after the actress Bette Davis although Davis pronounced her name in two syllables, and Midler uses one.

During her career, she has won four Grammy Awards, four Golden Globes, three Emmy Awards, and a Tony Award, and has been nominated for two Academy Awards. She is currently performing a new concert show, The Showgirl Must Go On, live five nights a week as one of the current headliners at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas (together with Cher and Elton John).
