Love With Caution Lyrics

The river's running fast right now
It's the time of year the water cleanses itself
Running wild but always in control
And now's the time to sever the ties
To habits that we can't discuss by trying to sellBreak away this fear until it disappears
I'm not ready to swim, I'm not going to sink
I just want to float through the sea
Are you holding me down? Are you holding me up?
Or are you slowly drowning me?There's something to be said for luck
It's better than being good
When half of being good is being lucky, anyways
We're spreading out, we're harder to hit
Become a moving target, drop your burden and abandon itBreak away this fear until it disappears
I'm not ready to swim, I'm not going to sink
I just want to float through the sea
Are you holding me down? Are you holding me up?
Or are you slowly drowning me, slowly drowning me?I remember the day when I could walk right down the streets
And feel so confident and know every thing's okay

Take my hand, don't let go but please remember
Hearts can grow, we still have to take it slowI love with caution and trust alone
I'm not ready to swim, I'm not going to sink
I just want to float through the sea
Are you holding me down? Are you holding me up?
Or are you slowly drowning me?I'm not ready to swim, I'm not going to sink
I just want to float through the sea
Are you holding me down? Are you holding me up?
Or are you slowly drowning me, slowly drowning me?

Silverstein is a 5-piece rock band from Burlington, Ontario, Canada; formed in 2000. The band name was taken from the famous children's author Shel Silverstein. After several lineup changes, the band acquired Billy Hamilton, a local fan who learned of the band's need for a bassist on the Internet message board "The 905 Board" (an Ontario area outreach board which used to be for local musicians). In Christmas of 2001, he joined the band after Shane Told helped him learn the music for the songs. Following a rehearsal on Boxing Day (December 26) in 2001, he officially debuted with Silverstein.
