Love with the Proper Stranger Lyrics

I could fall in love with the proper stranger
If I heard the bells and the banjos ring
If two certain eyes with the look of danger
Smiled a welcome warm as springIf the beating in my heart
Sounded out a warning
Don't let her
Don't let her walk through the door
This is the one you've been waiting for
Oh, yes, I'd know
However wild it seems
You know I'd knowAnd I'd whisper
Come take my hand, proper stranger
Don't go through life as a stranger
For I'm a poor proper stranger, tooDon't let her
Don't let her walk through the door
This is the one you've been waiting for
Oh, yes, I'd know
However wild it seems

You know I'd knowAnd I'd whisper
Come take my hand, proper stranger
Don't go through life as a stranger
For I'm a poor proper stranger, too

Jack Jones (born Jan. 14, 1938, in Hollywood, Calif.) is a traditional pop singer. He is the only son of actors Allan Jones and Irene Hervey. He released his first album in 1959 on Capitol Records, but didn't find success until he moved to Kapp Records in early 1960s. During that time, he was rated highly by Frank Sinatra and Judy Garland called him the best jazz singer in the world, although Jones was always a straight pop singer (even when he recorded contemporary material) and rarely ventured in the direction of jazz.
