Lover Come Back Lyrics

Bound for trouble from the start
I've been walking through this old world in the dark
All along right by my side
There you were shining, my ray of lightSo, I sing lover come back, lover come back to me
Won't you ever come back, ever come back to me
How could I have been so foolish to let you leave
Lover come back, lover come back to meI'll never be as good as I'd like to be
Eternally restless refusing to believe
But I think that we missed our connection
I wanted to feel your affection
Until my final daysI sing lover come back, lover come back to me
Won't you ever come back, ever come back to me
How could I have been so foolish to let you leave
Lover come back, lover come back to meI am warm enough yet I still shiver
I am fed but still I starve
You know me I am the great misgiver
Always waiting on the clouds to partI sing lover come back, lover come back to me
Won't you ever come back back, ever come back to me

How could I have been so foolish to let you leave
So lover come back, lover come back to meLover come back, lover come back to me
Won't you ever come back, ever come back to me
How could I have been so foolish to let you leave
So lover come back, lover come back to me

City and Colour is a band by former Alexisonfire guitarist and vocalist Dallas Green, started in 2004. The project title derives its name from Dallas’ own name: Dallas, a city, and Green, a colour. Dallas is praised by critics and fans alike for his strong, clear vocals and his guitar playing skills.

To date, Dallas has released two EPs, “The Death of Me” (2004) and “Missing” (2005), as well as three full length albums, “Sometimes” (2005), “Bring Me Your Love” (2008) and "Little Hell" (2011). Dallas Green also appears on Neverending White Lights' collaborative album Act 1: Goodbye Friends of the Heavenly Bodies (which was released in 2005), contributing vocals to the song "The Grace".

Recently he has started playing in an acoustic set with his Alexisonfire bandmate, Wade Macneil.
