MX Lyrics

You're so sweet, your smile
Your pussy and your bones
You're on fire, you move me
Like music with your styleLet me think
(And you think about what?)
About girls
(And what else?)
And money, and new clothes
(And what do I get?)Thirty nights
(Uh huh)
Of violence
(Yeah)
And sugar, to loveCome here come here
Closer to the lung
So I can, I can
Shove her over railingYou're sweet but I'm tired
Of proving this love
See you're a bore but you move me

Like a movie that you loveLet me think
(And you think about what?)
About girls
(And what else?)
And money, and new clothes
(And what do I get?)Thirty nights
(Uh huh)
Of violence
(Yeah)
And sugar, to loveCome here come here
Closer to the lung
So I can I can
Shove her over railingLet me think
(And you think about what?)
About girls
(And what else?)
And money, and new clothes
(And what do I get?)Thirty nights
(Uh huh)
Of violence
(Yeah)
And sugar, to love
(Fuckin' rock star)Come here, come here
Closer to the lung
Come here come here
Closer to the lung
So I can I can
Shove her over railing

MX-80 Sound were a post-punk band originally from Bloomington, Indiana (involved in the same scene that spawned the Gizmos). Their sound was centered around Bruce Anderson's slashing, trebly guitar riffing and Rich Stim's deadpan, often indecipherable, mumble. As a five-piece (with two drummers), they twice released a seven-song 7-inch EP (subtitled Hard Pop from the Hoosiers) on local labels, impressing Island Records enough to sign them. But the following album, Hard Attack, was never released in the United States and attracted little attention aside from some critical raves.
