Mad Dog 20/20 Lyrics

If I could ask you how you feel
Would you reply or produce a shield?
Such a long time, been drinking this wine
That I don't knowAnd all my friends keep telling me
That you can't drink or get drunk for free
So I'll admit while I'm still fit
Of my loveThat wine was the best girl I ever had
That wine was the best girl I never hadI can't deny the feeling
Fizzin' inside my head
All my senses wash away
These booze that I've been fedAnd if I could ask you how you feel
Would you reply or produce a shield?
Out on the street, dead on my feet
Oh, my loveThat wine was the best girl I ever had
That wine was the best girl I never had

Teenage Fanclub are an indie rock band from Bellshill, Scotland near Glasgow, formed in 1989, and were formerly known as The Boy Hairdressers. They have two generally known humorous nicknames "The Fannies" and "The Bellshill Beach Boys"

Teenage Fanclub are revered for their devotion to chiming, Byrds-esque guitars and harmony vocals. Songwriting duties are shared between the three permanent members of the band, Norman Blake, Raymond McGinley, and Gerard Love.

In 2006, the band held two special concerts in London and Glasgow, playing their 1991 masterpiece Bandwagonesque in its entirety.

There have been a succession of drummers, including:

- Francis MacDonald (a prime-mover in the C86 scene, later of the BMX Bandits), the drummer in the original lineup, and in a later period
- Brendan O’Hare (later of Telstar Ponies, Thrapple , Mogwai and Macrocosmica)

and

- Paul Quinn (later of The Primary 5), who was later replaced by the returning Francis MacDonald.

Keyboardist Finlay MacDonald (no relation to Francis MacDonald) has also been a member.
