Magic Hour Lyrics

I'll wait till I see a cloud
Shaped like the Garden State
And little stars are cars at turnpike gates
And the moon is DelawareOh, I'll wait, I'll wait for the magic hour
Go and find myself the biggest tree
Cut it down and count the rings, ohTime was once
When there was rustling in the reeds
Tiny tumbleweeds, pigeons on the porch
And there was dumb love fallers
Carpet crawlers spinning in the deckTime was once
When there was rustling in the reeds
Tiny tumbleweeds, pigeons on the porch
And there was dumb love fallers
Carpet crawlers spinning in the deckOh, oh, I'll wait till I see a cloud
Shaped like the Garden State
And little stars are cars at turnpike gates
And the moon is DelawareOh, I'll wait for the magic hour, I will wait
I made this song because I made you stay

And I will always love you
Oh, I will always love you
Oh, I will always love you

Fruit Bats is an American rock band formed in 1997 in Chicago, Illinois. The group has had many personnel changes but revolves around songwriter Eric D. Johnson. Their albums include Echolocation (2001), Mouthfuls (2003), Spelled in Bones (2005), The Ruminant Band (2009), and Tripper (2011). In 2009 Johnson also joined The Shins. Originally part of short-lived Chicago group I Rowboat, Johnson and two of his fellow Rowboat members, guitarist Dan Strack and drummer Brian Belval, created Fruit Bats as a side-project.
