Magic Potion Lyrics

Oh gypsy, hear my plea, I love her oh, so desperately
Oh gypsy, hear my plea and make her care for me
I loved her from the very start but I can't seem to win her heart
So please, oh please, help meGypsy won't you make a magic potion
Look out for love and devotion
I'm making a magic potion number 309I'm keep on mixing that magic potion to stimulate her emotion
It's gonna take lots of magic potion till she's mine
Yeah, I'm gonna make her mine and I'm gonna make her mine
Oh, gotta make her mineOh gypsy, please be kind before I lose my mind
I tried a million magic charms
But I can't her into my arms
So please, oh please, help meGypsy won't you make a magic potion
Look out for love and devotion
I'm making a magic potion number 309
And I'm gonna make her mineOh gypsy, play your part and help me win her heart
I love her more than words can tell
So won't you weave your magic spell
So please, oh please, help meGypsy won't you make a magic potion

Look out for love and devotion
I'm making a magic potion number 309I'm keep on mixing that magic potion to stimulate her emotion
It's gonna take a lots of magic potion till she's mine
Yeah, I'm gonna make her mine and I gotta make mine
Oh, gotta make her mine

Originally founded as a skiffle group in Liverpool in 1959 by John McNally and Mike Pender (Mike Prendergast), the band took their name from the classic 1956 John Wayne western The Searchers. Prendergast claims that the name was his idea, but McNally ascribes it to 'Big Ron' Woodbridge, their first lead singer. The issue remains unresolved. The band grew out of an earlier skiffle group formed by McNally, with his friends Brian Dolan (guitar) and Tony West (bass). When the other two members lost interst McNally was joined by his guitarist neighbour Mike Prendergast.
