Make Her Purr Lyrics

The first time, you knew it was true
You loved her and she had to have you
All that night, she made you feel
So strong and husky, male and musky
Then she got on your horse and took off
That was the last you saw of herYou'd like to think, you know her
Know what it takes to make her purr
But she don't live here anymoreYou looked around, I'll admit it was sad
Trying to hide that you wanted her so bad
It took some time, then you finally saw
Her again and she ignored you
Like the rancid mustard in the fridge door
And then, she left with Damon from BlurYou'd like to think, you know her
Know what it takes to make her purr
But she don't live here anymoreShe don't live here any
She don't live here any
She don't live here anymoreShe don't live here any
She don't live here any

She don't live here anymoreYou'd like to think, you know her
Know what it takes to make her purr
But she don't live here anymore
She don't live here anymoreYou'd like to think, you know her
Know what it takes to make her purr
But she don't live here anymore

Dance Hall Crashers came into existence after Tim Armstrong and Matt Freeman disbanded from the legendary ska-punk band Operation Ivy. Both departed soon after the Crashers' formation (and later reunited in Rancid), leaving vocalist Elyse Rogers and guitarist Jason Hammon to lead the band.
The Dance Hall Crashers recorded a few songs during their first year (these are featured on The Old Record), and in 1990, they made their most notable lineup change, adding second vocalist Karina Denike.
