Makin' Heartaches Lyrics

Making heartaches you're that kind of girl
You'll keep on making heartaches I can tellI should have to wonder where you are tonight
You said you'd always be here by my side
They gave me warnings that you wouldn't do me right
That long ago the goodness in you diedMaking heartaches ending someone's world
That's the one thing that you do so well
Making heartaches you're that kind of girl
You'll keep on making heartaches I can tell
[ steel ]
My heartaches never really seem to bother you
You've caused so many men to go astray
And though I know to leave you is the thing to do
Just like the others I can't walk awayMaking heartaches ending someone's world...

Singer/ Songwriter George Morgan was the father of country singer Lorrie Morgan. Morgan was born to Zachariah "Zach" Morgan and Ethel Turner in Waverly, Tennessee, but was raised in Barberton, Ohio. He was, along with a few other contemporaries (most notably Eddy Arnold and Jim Reeves), referred to as a "country crooner;" his singing style being more similar to that of Bing Crosby or Perry Como than that of Ernest Tubb or Lefty Frizzell.
