Makin' Love Lyrics

I wish I could say
All my fears fall away
With the sands in the hourglass
But you know it ain't soI'm holdin' on tight
'Cause I know when it's right
There'll be a woman
Burnin' in my soulDon't you know I can feel it, feel it deep inside
Pretty soon you'll find it showin' in my eyes
I can't keep from feelin' you and I were meant for
Makin' loveYou're on my mind
And it seems that I'm
Thinkin' of moments
Alone with youHard as it seems
You can see what it means
Woman you know I'm
Losin' my heartDon't you know I can feel it, feel it deep inside
Pretty soon you'll find it showin' in my eyes
I can't keep from feelin' you and I were meant for

Makin' loveI can feel it, feel it deep inside
Pretty soon you'll find it showin' in my eyes
I can't keep from feelin' you and I were meant for
Makin' loveDon't you know I can feel it, feel it deep inside
Pretty soon you'll find it showin' in my eyes

Poco, founded in 1968 by Rock and Roll Hall of Famers Richie Furay and Jim Messina (both inducted 1997 with Buffalo Springfield), was one of the earliest in the "country rock" genre that was later commercially popularized by bands such as the Eagles. The band was completed by Rusty Young (pedal steel guitar, dobro, banjo and mandolin) Randy Meisner on bass and George Grantham on drums. Poco's 1969 debut, "Pickin' Up the Pieces" (the title being a reference to the break-up of Buffalo Springfield), received some critical acclaim but generated very litttle enthusiasm commercially.
