Man in the Mirror Lyrics

I'm gonna make a change,
For once in my life
It's gonna feel real good,
Gonna make a difference
Gonna make it right...As I, turn up the collar on
My favorite winter coat
This wind is blowin' my mind
I see the kids in the street,
With not enough to eat
Who am I, to be blind?
Pretending not to see their need
A summer's disregard,
A broken bottle top
And a one man's soul
They follow each other on
The wind you know
'Cause they got nowhere to go
That's why I want you to knowI'm starting with the man in the mirror

I'm asking him to change his ways
And no message could have been any clearer
If you wanna make the world a better place
Take a look at yourself, and then make a change
(Na na na, na na na, na na, na nah)I've been a victim of
A selfish kind of love
It's time that I realize
There are some with no home,
Not a nickel to loan
Could it be really me,
Pretending that they're not alone?
A willow deeply scarred,
Somebody's broken heart
And a washed-out dream
(A washed-out dream)
They follow the pattern of
The wind, you see
Cause they got no place to be
That's why I'm starting with meI'm starting with the man in the mirror
(Ooh!)
I'm asking him to change his ways
(Ooh!)
And no message could have been any clearer
If you wanna make the world a better place
Take a look at yourself and then make a changeI'm starting with the man in the mirror
I'm asking him to change his ways
And no message could have been any clearer
If you wanna make the world a better place
Take a look at yourself and then make that...
Change!I'm starting with the man in the mirror,
(Oh yeah!)
I'm asking him to change his ways
(Better change!)
No message could have been any clearer
(If you wanna make the world a better place
Take a look at yourself and then make the change
You gotta get it right, while you got the time
'Cause if you close your heart
Then you close your...)
Mind!Starting with the man in the mirror
(Oh yeah!)
I'm asking him to change
(Better change!)
No message could have been any clearer
If you wanna make the world a better place
Take a look at yourself and then make a change
Na na na, na na na, na na, na nah
(Oh yeah!)
Na na na, na na na, na na, na nah
I'm gonna make a change
For once in my life
I'm gonna make a change
For once in my life

Keke Palmer (born Lauren Keyana Palmer on August 26, 1993) is an American actress. She is perhaps best known for playing the title role in the 2006 film, Akeelah and the Bee.

Palmer made her acting debut in 2004's Barbershop 2: Back in Business, playing the part of the niece of Queen Latifah's character. Between 2004 and 2006, she appeared in episodes of several television series, including Cold Case, Strong Medicine, ER and Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, and was subsequently cast in two films released in 2006: playing a supporting part in Madea's Family Reunion, and starring as the lead character, Akeelah Anderson, a young girl from South Los Angeles who attempts to win a spelling bee, in Akeelah and the Bee. Akeelah and the Bee was released on April 28, 2006, and Palmer's performance has received several positive notices, including praise from film critic Roger Ebert. Now Keke is acting as the main actress in True Jackson VP. as True. She was now performed in Joyful Noise and it was a really great movie:)

Palmer has signed a record deal with Atlantic Records and released her debut album, So Uncool, on September 18, 2007. It featured the singles "Keep it Movin' (feat. Big Meech)" and "Footwurkin'".
