Man of God Lyrics

can he make friends
of the most bitter enemies
i'll believe it when i see it's what i saycan he assuage
our moral discontentment
i'll believe it on that unlikely dayi believe that christian science may have something good to offer
but i too believe it falls well short of a pipeline to god
at our best we are creatures of volition
but when we falter in adjunction we relinquish all controli met a man of god
he tried his best to tell me
my human fallabilities equate directly into sinhis philosophy
carried no weight with me
his jaded mind won't let the truth find it's way inhow does it feel?
can he replace all those days in hidingis it real?
how many nights have you slept with regretit's so sad
when no one is waiting to meet youbut the voices
the voices of what might have been

Good Riddance is a punk rock band hailing from Santa Cruz, California. They formed in 1986 and after over twenty years, eight albums, and countless tours, played their farewell show in 2007 but reunited in 2012. They played fast and explosive punk and hardcore music that was heavily influenced by the early American hardcore scene. The lyrical themes varied from political protests and analysis of the American society, to personal struggles and alienation. On occasion, the band had also been known to write slower, sometimes romantic songs.
