Maureen Lyrics

I wanna tell everybody a story 'bout
A lucky young man who fell in love
And a change in mood
Can happen to youOh, it seemed that late every night
I would have the same dream
About a girl, just right
I mean one I would love for the rest of my life
And then one day this girl from my dreams
Came walking my wayNot Michelle, not Nadine, no, no
She smiled as she told me
Her name was Maureen
Maureen (my love)
Maureen (my dream)
Maureen (my girl)
Maureen (Maureen)My Maureen (my love)
Maureen (my dream)
Maureen (my girl)
Maureen (Maureen)Till that day, my life was in pieces

What more can I say
Oh, oh
In a world now
I'm going to bed early just to see
That damn girlMaureen (my love)
Maureen (my dream)
Maureen (my girl)
Maureen (Maureen)
My Maureen (my love)
Maureen (my dream)
Maureen (my girl)
Maureen (Maureen)Sleepy as I was, I was
Dreaming life away
Now my life is full of joy
Lucky man, oh lucky man, I am
I thank that old sandman, my dreams came true

Eddie Money (born Edward Joseph Mahoney, March 2, 1949 in New York City, United States) is an American rock singer-songwriter who found success in the 1970s and 1980s with a string of Top 40 hits and platinum albums. Rock impresario Bill Graham said of Money "Eddie Money has it all...Not only can he sing, write and play, but he is a natural performer." After becoming a police officer, like his father, during the late 1960s, Money began to be interested in music, and eventually ended his law enforcement career in favor of becoming a musician.
