Maybe She'll Get Lonely Lyrics

She slammed the screen door
Kicked up the dust pullin out of here
Probably headed for Baton Rouge
Her taillights just disappearedI tried everything within my power
To get her to stay
Guess all I can do right now
Is get on my knees and prayMaybe shell get lonely
Maybe shell turn that wheel around
Maybe shell miss me
Before she hits the edge of town'Cause I love her, I need her
I cant live without her
Yeah, the only hope that Ive got left
Is maybe shell get lonelyRight now shes angry
As mad as Ive ever seen
And if she makes it a hundred miles
That means shes breakin freeI think time is of the essence
I keep ringin her phone
It aint lookin' too good right now

Before shes too far goneMaybe shell get lonely
Maybe shell turn that wheel around
Maybe shell miss me
Before she hits the edge of town'Cause I love her, I need her
I cant live without her
Yeah, the only hope that Ive got left
Is maybe shell get lonelyYeah, I love her, I need her
I miss her, I want her
I cant live without herMaybe shell get lonely
Maybe shell get lonely
The only hope that Ive got left
Is maybe shell get lonely
Maybe shell get lonely

Around the time Jack Ingram started writing songs and performing, he was studying psychology at Southern Methodist University in Dallas. "Music and psychology come from the same place," he says. "It's about studying why people tick. I write songs to figure out my world, why people act the way they do, why they make the decisions they do."
Lucky for us, Ingram chose a career in music-and discovered an altogether different kind of therapy. He weaved his questions about life into songs whose depth and incisive wit were matched only by their melodic resonance and insistent hooks.
