Me Vs Myself Lyrics

Now it's me against myself
In the biggest fight of our lives
So many roads we have been down
I'm so terrified of getting this right
And it's you
Who I run back to
But it's you
Who I won't let through
Right now it's me against myself
To prevail or to die
Coming up just to fall short
I'll come out a survivor
Swimming out to the deep end
Using up all my options
Something isn't right
I see it in my eyes
Repeat and start again
When I look in the mirror

There's a skeleton staring at me
Rising up from a graveyard
With the secrets I buried so deep
And it's you
Who I run back to
And it's you
Who I won't let through
Right now it's me against myself
Is it real or a lie
I do it to myself,
I do it to myself
Coming up just to fall short
I'll come out a survivor
Swimming out to the deep end
Using up all my options
Coming up just to fall short
I'll come out a survivor
Swimming out to the deep end
Using up all my options
Something's not right
She sees it in my eyes
Repeat and start again
I do it to myself,
I do it to myself,
I do it to myself
Coming up just to fall short
I'll come out a survivor
Swimming out to the deep end
Using up all my options
So call me out, call me out
Time's running out, running out
So call me out, call me out
Something isn't right
I see it in my eyes
Repeat and start again

While it’s common practice in rock bios to liken an act to something familiar, it’s hard to do that with San Diego’s We Shot The Moon. That’s because it’s virtually impossible to compare them to any other band out there…not for more than a track or two, at least. We Shot The Moon--led by former Waking Ashland frontman Jonathan Jones--is a piano-heavy indie rock five-piece that formed in the year 2007. On September 29, the band releases its infectious sophomore LP, A Silver Lining, the follow-up to 2008’s Fear and Love, on Minneapolis-based label Afternoon Records.
