Member of the Tribe (LP Version) Lyrics

Ever since I was a kid I never did fit in
While all the other fish were learning how to swim
I was dying
To be a member of the tribeAnd when I went to school my head was in a cloud
The teacher said, "you will never be allowed,
So don't try
To be a member of the tribe"Now what can a square man do
To fit in a big round world?
If I am a hand and life is a glove
I stick right out like a big sore thumbWhy don't you come over to see me sometime
I do impersonations from saturday night live
I'm dying
To be a member of the tribeNow what can a square man do
To fit in a big round world?
Life might be a parade for some,
But I stick out like a big bass drumI eat big macs and I watch mtv
I've been a k mart shopper since 1983
Cause I'm trying

To be a member of the tribe
