Memories On the Ground (Acoustic Version) Lyrics

I looked around at all the memories on the ground
Some of them still falling down
And I cannot make a sound
Thanks a lot, I was your man and now I'm not
You said if you could you would
Just pick me up and take me home for goodSo I look at her and I say
Oh there's got to be a better way
Cuz I don't want you to be
Just another memory on the ground
Parking lots, Sunday drives and getting lost
We'd lay out beneath the stars
To make us feel how small we areSo I look at her and I say
Oh there's got to be a better way
Cuz I don't want you to be
Just another memory on the groundLooking back, I never thought I would do that
I gave your love away
I live with that everyday
So I look at her and I say

If I could, I'd take you back today
I'm sorry that I let you slip away
You're just another memory on the ground
Oh, on the ground
