Merry Christmas Emily Lyrics

Merry Christmas Emily
Merry Christmas EmilyEmily, she was twenty-three
Sitting on the ground under a dead palm tree
6th and Speedway on Christmas Day
It seemed like things were gonna go my wayBut we had some good times
Drinking cheap wine and popping pills
Spending the holidays
Getting drunk at the rusty nailAnd then there's Emily from a good family
They fucked up your head and they sent you to me
"It's a Wonderful Life", is playing on the TV
I think about you, do you still think about meMerry Christmas Emily
Merry Christmas Emily
I still think about you, do you still thing about meMerry Christmas Emily
Merry Christmas EmilyIt might have seemed that I was down and out
But my insurance claim was still paying out
Well, you were heading back up while I was going down
So I reformed the band to try to keep you aroundThen we had some bad times
Drinking wine in the summer heat

A couple loud arguments
Standing in the middle of Congress St.Then there's Emily under that dead palm tree
It's Christmas day and it's like 80 degrees
I still think about you, do you still think about meMerry Christmas Emily
Merry Christmas Emily
Merry Christmas Emily
I still think about you, do you still think about meMerry Christmas Emily
Merry Christmas Emily
Merry Christmas Emily
I still think about you, do you still think about meMerry Christmas Emily
Merry Christmas Emily
Merry Christmas Emily
I still think about you, do you still think about meMerry Christmas Emily
Merry Christmas Emily
Merry Christmas Emily
I still think about you, do you still think about me

Cracker is an American alternative rock band fronted by Camper Van Beethoven singer David Lowery, with guitarist Johnny Hickman. They are best known for their hit songs "Low" and "Teen Angst (What the World Needs Now)". The band's website once noted Cracker as "The only band to ever open for both Grateful Dead and Ramones," a unique distinction which is also indicative of the band's sound and style. Cracker comfortably mixes influences and sounds ranging from classic country music, psychedelia, punk and folk into their brand of "americana" style rock.
