Merry Go Round Lyrics

(Merry go round and round)
Ho, ho, no
Im sick and tired of goin round
(Merry go round and round)
Why you wanna do this to me, baby
Hey no, no, no, no, no, no, no, noIt must feel good to you, baby
To hurt me over and over again, yeah, baby
And it must feel good to you, baby
To see me cry, yeah, girlYou say, you will, you say you wont
Baby, why dont you make up your mind
You say, you do, you say, you dont
Baby, baby, please be kindYou love me now, and then you dont
Baby, why do you keep playin these games
I feel like Im on a merry go round
Goin round and round and round and round and roundMerry go round and round
Merry go round and round
Merry go round and round
Round and round and round and round I go, baby

Where Im gonna stop, baby, only you know thatDidnt I give you everything, baby
You ever wanted, girl, yes, I did
And all I ever wanted to do, baby
Is satisfy your world, yeah, yeah, baby, baby, babeI gave you this, I gave you that
But it didnt mean anything
When you love someone right
You dont expect them to do you wrong, baby, baby, babeWhy did I do to deserve this pain, girl
You just keep doin this same thing over and over again
I feel like Im on a merry go round
Goin round and around and around
And around and around and aroundMerry go round and round
Merry go round and round
Merry go round, baby
Round and round and round and round I go, baby
Where Im gonna stop, baby, only you know that(Merry go round and round)
Merry yeah yeah
Merry, merry go round
(Merry go round and round)
I just cant understand it, baby
(Merry go round and round)
Why do you wanna treat me like you do, girl
I dont know, baby(Merry go round and round)
Everything you wanted I always gave you, girl
(Merry go round and round)
You didnt have to want for nothin
You didnt have to ask for nothin, baby
(Merry go round and round)
I tried to be the best that I could be, baby(Merry go round and round)
And now you treat me like Im nobody, nothin, baby
(Merry go round and round)
Life is, life is so, so unfair
If you wanna play circus baby
I dont want to be your clown girl
(Merry go round and round)
Naw no no no no no no no no baby
I dont want the side show to begin
Cuz I dont want you to let me in
(Merry go round and round)
Baby Sometimes people dont understand
what they have until its gone
Some people dont know somebody loves them
until its too late baby
You better You better wake up girl and realize
what you got baby
You better understand that
You better understand that
You're my woman
Im your man babe
I wont only (unintelligible)
and I'll do anything you want me to do baby
Oh yes I will babe
All you gotta do is ask me babe
baby baby baby
If you're good to me then I know
I'll be good to you
If you love me baby yeaah then I'll
surely surely surely love you
Baby baby baby understand understand
what I feel feel
You got to understand my love is so real
Oh baby Oh baby Oh hey baby
Darling darling darling darling sugar babe
Darling baby
Oh round babe

Keith Sweat (born Keith Crier on July 22, 1961 in Harlem, New York), is a popular R&B/soul singer, songwriter, record producer and a major contributor to the New jack swing era. Before becoming a recording artist, Sweat worked for the commodities market in the New York Mercantile Exchange. He sang at nightclubs throughout New York City until he was discovered and offered a recording contract with Elektra Records in 1987.

Make It Last Forever era: 1985-1993

Sweat started his musical career as a member of a well known Harlem band called "Jamilah" in 1975. With the help of Jamilah, Sweat was able to hone his craft as a lead singer by performing regionally throughout the Tri-State area of New York, New Jersey and Connecticut. The group was started by Larry Peebles, a talented bass player from 116th Street and Lenox Avenue, and included several members who came in and out of the group; among those included was Gregory Ross, a well known Harlem keyboard player who currently lives and works in the Los Angeles area.

On November 25, 1987, Sweat released his debut album Make It Last Forever, which sold three million copies. The biggest hit from this album was "I Want Her" (#1 R&B/#5 Pop), and the title track from the album was hit #2 on the R&B charts.

Sweat continued to chart fairly well with his sophomore album I'll Give All My Love To You, which hit #6 on the Billboard 200 chart, and Keep It Comin debuted in the Top 20 of the album chart.
