Midnight Comes Too Soon Lyrics

Midnight comes too soon
When you've lost the moon
And nothing breaks the darknessOnly the bedroom light
And it's much too bright
It seems to shout at meAnd I can't help but pray
Though I don't know to who
But a constant yearning
Has taken ahold of me
I'm down in a hole so deep
And midnight comes too soon
Familiar sounds seem strange
Everything has changed
It's like I'm dreamingOut on the street somewhere
I know you're there
And you're not crying
And I can't help but pray
To what I don't know
To send me a reason

That keeps me from wasting away
Despair makes it's midnight creep
And midnight comes too soonAt midnight a fallen star shot past the wind
At midnight I start to feel a rage within
