Miles Away Lyrics

So this is love, or so you tell me
As you're walkin', out the door
The months go by, and I know for certain
It's not the love, I'm lookin' forSome times, just for a moment,
I reach out, hope you're still thereMiles away,
No, you're never turnin' back,
I just can't wait anymore
Miles away,
Nothin' left of what we had,
Just when I needed you most
You were miles awayIt's hard to tell, what you're goin' through
You kept your feelings locked inside of you
Open your heart, and chances are
What you're feelin', I'm feelin' tooIf only, just for a moment
Hold on, to the dreams that we hadMiles away,
No, you're never turnin' back,
I just can't wait anymoreMiles away,
Nothin' left of what we had,

Just when I needed you most
You were miles awayWhen times were tough, and you were down and out
Who was there by your side?
Now you've gone, I'm so tired of bein' alone
With only your promisesThe lonliness just fades away,
Thoughts of you, just memories
No cryin' now, for what we're missin'
Time won't forget what you meant to meIf you hold me, just for a moment
Hold on, to the dreams that we hadMiles away,
No, you're never turnin' back,
I just can't wait anymoreMiles away,
Nothin' left of what we had,
Just when I needed you the most, whoa-ohMiles away,
No, you're never turnin' back,
I just can't wait anymoreMiles away,
Nothin' left of what we had,
Just when I needed you the mostYou were miles away

Winger is an American hard rock band formed in New York City, in 1987, that gained popularity during the late 1980s and early 1990s. The band's two platinum albums, Winger and In the Heart of the Young, along with charting singles "Seventeen", "Headed for a Heartbreak" and "Miles Away", put the band on the top of the charts by the early 1990s. In 1990, the band was nominated for an American Music Award for "Best New Heavy Metal Band". As the music scene changed in the early to mid-1990s due to the popularity of grunge, the band faded after their third release, Pull.
