Milk and Honey Lyrics

I've had better days
Days when the milk and the honey
It poured into me, yeah
And I've had better times
When I was up on my feet
And not down on my knees, yeah
Now I want me and my
To go where there's milk and there's honey
And take what we need, yeah
Across that finish line
We'll see that we're running for nothing with
No one to beat, yeah
And every day I feel the same thing
That you and I know we'll find our way again
We are all on the same road if you understand
Let's do what we can
And I've had better times
Times when the milk and the honey

It poured like a stream, yeah
And right before my eyes
People were giving into need
And not into greed, yeah
And every day I feel the same thing
That you and I, we will find our way again
We are all on the same road if you understand
Let's do what we can
That's why I say a prayer for you now
I'll say another prayer for you and me
And though I know we'll never hear the answer
I'll say another prayer for you and me
And so I'll say another prayer for you now
I'll say another prayer for you and me
And though I know we'll never hear the answer
I'll say another prayer for you and me, and me
And every day I feel the same thing
That you and I know we'll see those days again
We are all on the same road if you understand
Let's do what we can
And I've had better days
Days when the milk and the honey
It poured into me, yeah, yeah
